This blog was established in 2006 to report to professional staff at the University of Queensland (and any other interested readers) on my participation in the Senate of the University.
The story of why I stood for the Senate is here.
I completed my third and final term as a Senator in 2017.
While Senate business is essentially confidential, the University publishes reports, of sorts, after each meeting. I published my own reports here on matters of interest to professional staff. At times, I called for input from professional staff on matters of interest to them that are coming up at a meeting.
As a full-time graduate member of staff on the Senate, I was, up until 2016, ex-officio a member of the Academic Board. I was a member of the Senate Student Appeals Committee from 2006-2013, of the Buildings & Grrounds (later Campus Infrastructure) Committee from 2014-2017, and of the Equity Diversity and Status of Women Committee 2016-2017.
